This fee includes:
Full color illustrations
Complete book layout including text
Illustration and layout of front and back covers, title and end pages
Uploading the finished product to Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) for print.
*Please note that for paperback books, the story itself should be 24-26 pages long.
The additional pages are used for required title pages and optional end pages.

Please note, our prices are for book illustration and design only, and do not include the cost to print your books. Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) is print on demand service, so if customers order directly from Amazon, your print cost will come out of what they pay. You can also choose to pay for the printing cost of some of your books ahead of time and delivered to you to sell directly to your customers.

Payments Due to Mei Li Designs:
25% deposit when the contract is signed (Step 3)
25% when the sketches are finished (after Step 5)
25% when the final art is completed (after Step 6)
25% when the book is published (after Step 8)​
Eight Easy Steps to Illustrate Your Children's Book
​
1) You share your story with us, and describe your characters and your ideas for your book design.
2) We present you with a sample sketch of your main characters (in color) against a black and white background for your approval.
3) We present you with a contract, which we will all sign. (25% Deposit)
4) We create a book mockup, which serves as an outline for what will go on each page including title and end pages.
5) We complete black and white sketches of all page illustrations including backgrounds for your approval. (2nd 25% Payment)
6) We color and complete all the illustrations and backgrounds leaving space where the text will be placed on each page for your approval. (3rd 25% Payment)
7) We complete your book layout and incorporate your story text using Adobe InDesign.
8) Finally, we will upload your finished book to Amazon's KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) to create your choice of a Kindle eBook, a print book, or both. (Final 25% Payment)
